Robert Holmes was raised in New Bern, North Carolina. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating with a BS in Business Administration in 1981. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill Law School in 1984 and has been licensed to practice law in North Carolina since 1984.
Immediately after law school, Robert Holmes clerked as a Research Assistant at the NC Court of Appeals. Upon entering private practice over 15 years ago, he was fortunate to train under some of the finest lawyers and judges then practicing in North Carolina.
Mr. Holmes is experienced in the trial and settlement of cases involving personal injury. He has handled hundreds of personal injury cases. He has experience in state and federal courts.
For a number of years, Mr. Holmes represented some of the nation's largest insurance companies. However, the practice now concentrates on representing injury victims in their claims against insurance companies and corporations, as well as representing land owners in eminent domain cases.
